Rollinga

Yesterday I learned one of my new favorite Argentine slang words from Andrea: "Rollinga." I was telling her about my black and white scarf, and how when I wear it, people assume I am from her. "Oh, ¿sos una rollinga?" She asks me. I don't know what that means. "They're the punk kids. It actually comes from Rolling Stones." Ahhh, good to know. I've googled them, and here is what comes up: "They all dress alike, they all wear the same shoes, jeans, Rolling Stone t-shirt, scarf and hair cut, no matter if they are male or female." Yep, sounds about right.

So you've got the Rollinga types and the Chetos (snobs.) Not sure if you can be both.
